Premium Absinthe R. JELÍNEK is a 70% herbal liqueur made from wormwood, which also contains essential oils of wormwood, anise, fennel and coriander. It gained its popularity also due to the content of thujone, a psychotropic substance that causes strange states in consumers, which was not regulated in a certain period. Apparently also thanks to this substance, absinthe was the drink of artists in the past, but it gradually penetrated into the poorest strata of the population. In 1915, it was banned as a symbol of alcoholism. Currently, the thujone content in absinthe is regulated by regulations, so it is more about rumors and legends associated with this drink.
